PLAY

Last Friday we found our Hamster 2.0 in a very generous mood. She allowed to take a 3D photo of her cute little face during the ultrasound AND she even let us record a short video sequence of her. Please press play to see the little girl in week 35+0

Coffee And Cake

Hamster 2.0 week 28+6

She´s everything but little. We´re back from the 3rd pregnancy screening in week 28+6 - our “little” girl´s amazing facts: 39.9 cm / 1300 g (1.31 feet, 2.86 lb).
This time Hamster 2.0 didn´t sleep during the photosession. She was wide awake, tumbling around like a humming-top.
That´s why we rescheduled our 3D ultrasound appointment to April 18th.
The only body parts we were “allowed” to capture today were her cute right foot, part of her right leg and her right hand grabbing the foot! :-P

HEART
10 things to about pregnancy

  1. When you´re newly pregnant you can enjoy the feeling of having a “secret” from the world. These first days are often very fun and special… thinking about the way to share the huge news with your family and friends.
  2. Listening to the little one´s heart beat! Round about the 12th week of pregnancy your midwife or doc will help you experience the joys of the first sounds of your baby´s heart beat - an unforgetable moment.
  3. The glow. Yes, you glow in a very special way- it´s the good kind. Even on the days you don´t feel it. The majority of women love to be pregnant.
  4. Having a huuuuuge, round belly! Take some great photos!!! Some women choose to take a picture every month wearing the same outfit to get a real picture of the changes. You can also visit a photo studio to get a professional shooting of you and your pregnancy belly. This picture of my belly was taken while I was pregnant with Luis:
  5. The ability of taking naps without an excuse in the middle of the day. Of course this is a benefit of the first pregnancy… once you have a toddler running around there is no rest for the weary *grin*
  6. The joy of ultrasound. It´s so exciting to watch your baby grow, see the development from a little bean to a tiny gummi bear and finally a baby. You´ll also get an answer to the “pink or blue”-question if you wish to:
  7. Playing games with the baby, like or “Kick your Daddy” or “Catch the Foot” - a great way to bond with baby before birth.
  8. The little moving baby is your little secret - no one else knows. You´ll never forget the (more or less) soft kicks. You can also do fetal kick counts to watch your baby´s cycles.
  9. Just two words: multiple orgasms! Most of the pregnant women find sex is really fantastic, sometimes better than ever before. Though it is not always great for the whole pregnancy. Be kind to yourself.
  10. Knowing that soon you´ll have a little one to cuddle and nurse. Nine months seem like a veeeery long time. Think about possible names for your little one, get infected by the “pregnancy shopping bug”, take a plaster clast of your belly…
… and before you know it your baby will be here. ♥

Happy Manic Monday, folks! ♥ Let your heart go out to a loved one =)

And now…

… our moment of Homer J.:

Lisa: Do we have any food that wasn’t brutally slaughtered?
Homer: Well, I think the veal died of loneliness.
