Frank and I are proud parents - we’re doing our very best to support our kids: The two year old busy toddler Luis and his newborn baby sister Lily (4 weeks old).

It’s been a while since I participated in the photohunt. I couldn’t garantee to visit other participants during the last weeks… so you’ll get a “whole in one” entry today.

“Nesting - I’m not the only one…”

Around the 5th month of this pregnancy the nesting instinct set in. I am suffering from the uncontrollable urge to clean the whole home , brought on by a desire to prepare a nest for our new baby “Hamster 2.0″.

It is a primal instinct: Females of the animal kingdom have this same need. Just as you see the birds making their nests, mommys-to-be do exactly the same thing. The nesting effect brings up some unique and seemingly irrational behaviors in me… I could take on cleaning our entire home, armed with a toothbrush.

Back in those days when I was pregnant with Luis I was told nesting can be one of the more humorous aspects of pregnancy, one that Frank and I are sure to laugh about in the years to come… we’ve been close before getting over the last period and starting to laugh about my prior nesting effects, but right now I’m wondering if he’ll ever forgive me for all the additional silly stuff I’m doing right now. The only excuse I can offer is it is simply something that I must do!

I behave like a brooding hen. A nesting, cleaning and baking brooding hen.

Talking about baking: Coffee and cake anybody? 8-)

I ♥ the warm weather, summer is my favorite season… but right now the heat makes my feet swell more and more. They remind me of balloons. There´s no chance to find a pair of shoes that might fit today - and just b/c Starbuck´s doesn´t offer home delivery I´ll have to walk over bare-footed. Or bribe Frank. There could be some freshly baked Muffins waiting fpr him when returning with a Frozen Caramel Frappuccino (hint!!!).

Oh, by the way… Frappuccino and Muffins anybody? 8-)

“I´ve lost my head”

Oh my… OH MY… Today I feel like the feathery friend above. I lost my head - somewhere. Trying my very best to find it, but I´m a bit afraid that curly-headed thing will be empty-headed. Anybody out there wo likes to swap heads with me for one day? I really need to be cool-headed today.

Oh, by the way… Where´s that daily promised dose of coffee and cake? Ah, that´s above, too. At least I found something… So… Coffee and cake anybody? 8-)

“Aaaaaah… refreshing”

So… how am I? Hmmm… tired. I could really need a refreshing Wellness day at a Spa. I´d even share the pool with a huge furry bear like that lovely guy above. He lives in the local zoo. However, I´d prefer taking him out to a Spa instead of jumping into his pool. Although… well, currently I feel like a critter who wouldn´t stand out at a zoo (if placed in the elephant enclosure). Please check back for a more detailed update tomorrow…
I´m *off* to take a relaxing bubble bath now… :cool:
