HEADS *OR* TAILS - Heads *Or* Tails

Okay, I didn’t change this line. This means you’re reading a scheduled bloggy.  Looks like we managed to get out flight to Mallorca, Spain. Yes, I am away, not in here… but being away is absolutely no reason to miss the

1st anniversary of Heads Or Tails

Just in case you’re new to my blog - you’re about to meet the whole motley crew in a few seonds.

If you’re a lurker… today is THE day to quit and de-lurk yourself. I’m about to show you mine, so show me yours! You know you want to!

You’re not a newbie and not a lurker? Good! Hope you don’t mind to see our faces again. Take the following as a little “Hi! Nice too see you again!” from us to you!

Here we go - the HEADS behind the “It’s Sanni-licious”:

Jersey - The Furry Diva. She is the most annoying and needy dog on earth, but she’s ours and we love her.
Lily - The newest member of our family, born 8 weeks ago.
She makes us smile and beam with pride.
Luis - The Captain, our busy 2 year old toddler who’s now a proud big brother, making life worth living every day.
Frank - I’m the luckiest person on earth.
The best hubs I can imagine. He adores me as much as I adore him.
Sanni - that’s me, wondering every day “How did I get so lucky?” ;-)

Sidenote: Having a look at that photo of Frank an me I once again realize one thing - I know this might sound really cheesy, but Frank is also my greatest friend in the world. No matter what, I can always tell him what’s on my mind, what’s bothering me and he’s there for me 100 percent.  He’s the only person I know that understands my dreams and encourages me relentlessly. Obviously, because otherwise I’d be in here now instead of taking a look at different pretty houses in Spain.
Frank is also one of the few people that I never get sick of, and we can laugh about everything, or nothing at all, at any given moment. The “benefits” are pretty nice, too - see, we make cute babies *LOL*.

I’m sure each and every one of you has someone you call your best friend, so tell me about him or her! What is it about your BFF that makes him or her so special to you?

And now…
… our moment of Homer J.:

Homer: Apu, you got any Skittle Brau? No? Never mind, just give me some Duff and a pack of Skittles.

BIG

Time does fly - Luis reminds me every day. He’s growing so fast… while scaling him the other day we found out the “little” one will be hitting the 100 cm (3 ft 4) soon - that’s really big for a two year old, isn’t it? Sometimes I ask myself if he’s got any plans to grow through the roof… Our big boy.

And now…
… our moment of Homer J.:

Marge: Homer, I don’t want you driving around in a car you built yourself.
Homer: You can sit there complaining, or you can knit me some seat belts.

Jul 10

… out of the beloved chaos with a totally random update:

1.) First of all I want to thank everyone for the kind wishes on Lily’s birth - and for all your encouraging words during the whole pregnancy. You ROCK! Online friends are some of the best friends I can imagine.

2.) We ended up in the hospitals ER a day after we came home. Lily has been terribly ill. It was heart-breaking. We spent many days hoping she’ll make it. I’m glad to let you know Lily is fine again.

3.) I hope everyone out there in Blogland is fine as well. I didn’t find time to visit anybody during the last weeks - my deepest apologies for my absence. I miss you all so badly and I can’t wait to start the “catching-up”-rounds tonight! *hooray*

4.) The word “sleep” is crossed out of my dictionary. Any kind of translation doesn’t exist, either.

5.) Stress offers one nice side-effect: It supports my weightloss struggle. 34.8 lb are gone so far - 30.1 lb to go. I didn’t follow any special diet… just nursing Lily (breast-feeding seems to be the best way to get rid of the pregnancy love handles), playing with the busy toddler #1, Captain Luis, and cancelling the “s”-word (see #4).

5.) The “Y” is still missing on my laptop, which s*cks big time.

6.) For those fellow bloggies that asked: Captain Luis is handling the new arrival Lily well. We have told him about his sister months ago, but we forgot to mention she will be able to make some noise *g*
Luis was a bit unsure about the little baby with the strong voice when she screamed for the first time - but, right after he found out… everything was fine. He’s a proud big brother, loving his little sister to pieces.

7.) There are lots of other things going on here. Some of you might remember I talked about moving a while ago… leaving Germany. If you don’t remember… that’s not your fault *LOL* - it possibly went down in the pregnancy-talk. However, we think about moving to Spain. Finding “the dream home” wasn’t as easy as 1-2-3, but it looks like we found two houses we really REALLY like.

8.) It might be possible you’ll find yourself swamped with sanni-licious posts during the next days… there are so many questions to answer, MEMEs to do, etc. So… IF the kids allow me to *g* I’ll catch up with this stuff right after I made my rounds.

9.) The only blog I managed to update during the last weeks is my Project365 - that comes at no surprise b/c we took 600+ photos *g* Meeting some of my regular sanni-licious-reader over there made me very happy. Thank you! *confetti*

10.) My coffee mug is empty. How the heck could this happen???

11.) I’ll have to buy some stocks of the company who fabricates our garbage bags… and Pampers, of course:
Lily “kills” between 5 and 8 diapers a day, Luis still does need one every now and than, too - and our labrador lady Jersey is pseudopregnant. Hmmm… diapers and garbage bags - that’s what my life is about *ggg*

12.) I just realized I didn’t include a photo into this totally random posting so far. Here we go, faithful to the motto “Scrapbooking Sucks”:

13.) See ya all in a few minutes!!!

And now…
… our moment of Homer J.:

Homer: Aw, twenty dollars! I wanted a peanut!
Homer’s Brain: Twenty dollars can buy many peanuts!
Homer: Explain how!
Homer’s Brain: Money can be exchanged for goods and services!
Homer: Woo-hoo!

Thank You

It´s me - Captain Luis. I hacked my mommy´s MAC book to give you a few updates on what´s going on here. First I want to say “Danke” (Thank you) for all the kind comments you´ve left and emails you´ve send to celebrate my second birthday. I hope you enjoyed the cake that we served while we´ve been to the zoo.
My birthday party was a blast - and I enjoyed it even more when my mommy read all your comments and mails to me. Thank you so much from the bottom of my ♥ and diaper-botty.

Talking about diapers… my potty training has begun. Uh-Oh. *shock*

Sometimes I envy my little sister Hamster 2.0 - she´s still living inside my mommy´s daily growing pregnacy oven belly and doesn´t care about diapers or potty training yet. We went to the gyn appointment a week ago and it seems the only thing (besides growing) Hamster 2.0 cares about is to hide carefully deep down in the belly to make sure no one takes a proper 3D photo of her. Hamster 2.0 has grown lots during the past weeks. She scales 1.48feet (45cm) and weighs about 5.14lb (2.335g). The next appointment will be on May, 16th and the next meeting at the hospital is sceduled for June 5th.

You might have noticed Jersey hasn´t posted for a while, either. She kept on hiding under the table resting on her boudoir because she´s getting bald losing her winter pelt… see, it´s finally warm in our part of the world: 26°C / 79°F.

Ooooops *shock* - I´ve been caught blogging. My mommy saw me and asked me to thank you for your kind emails. She´s feeling a wee bit better, but still tired. She says she still feels like she´s going to explode soon. The hay fever and bronchitis are gone, but she has swelled terribly. She does not weigh as much as she did while she was pregnant with me in week 34, but the EPH gestosis hit her hard.

The main reason why my mommy didn´t blog for such a long time is the gestosis - and the fact her brain feels like fluffy cotton candy. *LOL* There are soooooo many things to tell, but the cotton candy brain keeps her away from posting… and she didn´t participate in the weekly MEMEs just because she can´t make sure to visit the other participants. See, my mommy can´t even make sure to visit her favorite daily reads currently. My mommy doesn´t want to upset anyone by not visiting or not even returning a visit. The only thing she has kept up is the Project 365 (a promise is a promise), but it looks like my mommy misses you all so much she´ll take a break of her blogging break soon, at the latest right after she has finished the huge web project a very important client hired her for (creating such a huge project while raising a busy toddler like me, having a little Hamster inside, watching diva-licious furr balls flying through the house and having a cotton candy brain is not as easy as 1-2-3 *g*).

However, my mommy hopes you are not upset she has been neglecting her bloggy and her faithful readers for such a long time. :-*

Have I told you that we all hate it when my daddy Frank wears a suit? That usually means he´ll be gone for a looooong time, earing some money somewhere far far away… looks like he´s getting prepared to leave soon… so I hope you don´t mind I´m going to quit now… I want to cuddle and play with my with my daddy before it´s time for him to leave.

 Yo-Ho
