… Miss Elli’s water broke, right after she had enjoyed a formidable portion of strawberries and cream. While Granny Anni informed Papili, who was working on a night shift, Miss Elli got dressed and grabbed her bag. Thereafter Granny Anni and Miss Elli hopped into the good old orange-colored VW Beetle and hurried to the hospital.
Back in those days the mommys-to-be still got a clyster before giving birth to the child… which nearly made Miss Elli cry. Not because she was afraid of the progress. No way. Miss Elli thought about the delicious strawberries (!!!).

*muahaha*

About two and a half hours of labor later, on June 11th, 1974 @ 2:33 AM GMT +1, a little girl (52cm - 1.71 feet / 3.900g - 8.58lb) was born. She had blue eyes and curly blonde hair. Well, okay, curly hair doesn’t hit the mark. That little girl has had one huge curl on her head - and this is how she looked like:

Sanni

Sanni today  - a bitch, a lover, a child, a mother, a sinner, a saint   :-P

All that I am, I owe to my mommy Miss Elli, my daddy Papili and my Granny Anni, who raised me up while my parents had to work.

Of course there are some other people who play an important role in my life:

First and foremost there’s my family:
Frank (the best hubby I can imagine), our son Captain Luis, that baby-girl Hamster 2.0, who’s still playing soccer inside my belly (I guess she’s inspired by the EURO 2008) and the Furry Diva.

My little family is followed by my so called “Inner Circle” - the best 3D friends I can imagine.

Last, but definitely not least, as the Internet grows and becomes a part of our lives, it brings with it a unique opportunity to meet people we likely would never have met in any other way. And very often, those people we meet online will become friends. Sometimes, very close friends. We come to know people, and grow to care for them, through the words that we share. From the U.S. to New Zealand, a digital line is drawn, the one I call 2D - friendship. Here’s to you, my dear 2D - friends:

Thank you so much for celebrating my 34th Birthday with me -

and for everything you have done for me. For all those kind comments and emails, for taking care about me, for stopping by and taking time to comment / coddling me up although I felt like a bag of sh!t *ghost* was sick and didn’t make my blogrounds like I used to do.
You all ROCK and play a very important role in my life.

Thank you so much for being a friend! *kiss*

I would have loved to start a world tour today to meet all my blog buddies in person, but since it’s that close to Hamster 2.0’s due date I didn’t find any airline who was willing to let me book anything. *LOL*

Okay, party beasts! Let’s enjoy a huuuuuge cyber BBQ, lots of cake, any kind of drinks and party like hell! *confetti*

Coffee And Cake

*coffee* and *cake* anybody?

((((HUGS)))) + *kisses*,

TAILS - Tell about your job (Or one you’ve had)

My current job is the best one I can imagine - a mom³: I´m the mom to Captain Luis, the (way too small) apartment of our little Hamster 2.0 and the hooman mommy of Jersey.

I´ve talked lots about mommy duties before - thta´s why I´m going to babble a bit about one of the jobs I´ve had before.
While I was more or less (rather less) busy studying I needed to earn some extra money to make a living. I´ve been “Sanni the waitress”, “Sanni the bartender”, “Sanni the cockroach” (working as a kitchen help), “Sanni the salesgirl” and “Sanni the fair trade hostess” - and that´s the one I liked best.

One of my favorite jobs was the one for General Motors / Opel during the Motorshow in Essen. The job included 2 daily shows about the Opel Speedster I had to moderate. I´m pretty sure you know how much I liked that - you all know I love to talk and I talk lots *LOL*.

Let´s climb into the time machine, drive way back in time and have a look at our team…

Motorshow Essen

You might ask yourself: “Who the heck is “Sanni the trade fair hostess”?”
Any ideas?
Bueller? Bueller? Anyone?

Yes, alrighty… I´m the little red-head.

Motorshow Essen

This job has been the beginning - the “mother of all jobs”. A few months later I started to work as a self-employed sales trainer. See… I definitely love talking lots… which brings me back to my current job -

The mom³… where I spend the whole day talking to a busy toddler, a Hamster inside the pregnancy oven and a furry diva - a job which I love and I am proud of.

A job which I wouldn´t want to exchange for any other. A job which I wouldn´t want to miss a single second of. A 24/7 job which is the very well paid: I get paid in child´s laughter and woofie nose-licks. Can you imagine any better job? Me? No way…

Happy Tuesday, HoTties!

Coffee And Cake

Coffee and cake anybody?

TAILS - Who would you like to meet and why?

[other HOTties | previous HOTties]

The very first person coming to my mind is my grandma Anni. My mommy´s mom passed away 28 years ago.I´m glad I had the oportunity to get to know her when I was a little one. While my parents were working I stayed at my granny´s house during the first years of my life.

I loved her to pieces - and I still do. So many memories… I still can rememeber her scent, her voice and her eyes, her smile, the tea-times we shared and her love for roses.

She´s always had the best advices -

Whenever I don´t know what to do I ask myself: “What would granny do?”

I´ve never had the chance to say “Goodbye” to my beloved granny. I´d love to indroduce great-grandchildren to her, to thank her for everything she´s done for me, to give her a kiss and let her know how much I love and miss her.

I´m sure she knows already, but I´d love to let her know face-to-face.

Who would you like to meet and why?

Have a great Tuesday, folks!

Homer: How is education supposed to make me feel smarter? Besides, every time I learn something new, it pushes some old stuff out of my brain. Remember when I took that home winemaking course, and I forgot how to drive?
