HEADS - Express

Starlight Express

is billed as ‘the fastest show on earth’ and Lloyd-Webber’s feel-good musical certainly has enough pace and power to keep the audience on the edge of their seats throughout the performance.

Twenty three roller-skating actors, some reaching speeds of up to 40mph, whizz around the stage performing songs and thrilling stunts. Their costumes are astoundingly colourful, the lighting is terrific and the fabulous Band does not miss a beat.

The story concerns a young boy’s train set, and the races he has one night between the trains. The characters in Starlight Express take the shape of masculine male engines, female carriages, or dim and comical freight trucks.

The tale involves love, loss and tussles as the human trains battle it out on stage and, with thanks to a stereoscopic video projection system, on screen as well.

Although the main focus of the show is the build up to the race, which pits steam against diesel and electricity, there is a pleasant love story running alongside that involves Rusty the steam engine and Pearl the carriage.

I´ve been to Starlight Express in Bochum (Germany) twice so far - once with my parents and the other night with some good friends… but never before with Frank. Guess what I´m going to order in a few minutes…

I love this guy to pieces… and will always do.

The annoying thing cute dog is part of a bundle.

I received the gift “From now on your a hooman mommy”

when I met the love of my life (see above).

A few month after Frank and I met we fell in love.

Who guessed it? Another few months later we found ourselves facing 2 little stripes on apregnancy test. Hamster 1.0 was on his way.

Before Frank and I met I couldn´t imagine to have a family. Now I can´t imagine how my life has been without my family.

Our son Luis is our sunshine.

A few weeks ago 2 little stripes greeted us on another pregancy test.

The doctors told us it might take years to get pregnant again… (some medical reasons).

But the little miracle is growing inside me each and every day.

Can´t wait to see her… 12 weeks and 2 days to go.

Time for a little update…
Yes, it´s me again. The bad blogger who didn´t blog for almost a week… the bad blog buddy who didn´t even visit anyone. Folks, I´m sick to death of being sick. Can´t remember when I woke up last time and felt well… without this serious nausea and… well, believe me, you definitely do NOT want to hear the full details.

I tried to join Heads Or Tails? today, but… the prompt for this week is “Vote” or any other word
that starts with the letter “V.”
The only word coming to my mind is “VOMIT”. Uhm, okay… unbloggable stuff. Don´t worry. I won´t post about this V-word, neither a detailed report, nor any pics.
Noooooo, I’m not trying to convince you to keep reading. Okay, well maybe a little…

I want to say “Thank you” to all those peaceful bloggers who kept me busy during the last weeks. Most of you know I am an official Blogblast for Peace Peace Globe Designer - Sanni on a peaceful mission, playing with graphics. That´s what I love to do… and I really appreciate the distraction - creating Peace Globes helped me feel less sick.

Halloween / How do you celebrate Halloween?

I ♥ Halloween.

Vampires attracted me as long as I can remember. When I was a little one (much too little to be allowed to watch anything else but Sesamestreet) I watched a Dracula movie, lurking into the living room, while my parents thought I was sleeping already. Christopher Lee played Dracula and LilSanni nearly peed her pants.

When I grew up I found my love for good scary and horror movies. One of our favorite Halloween amusements is watching scary movies. Although Halloween is not celebrated so much in our part of the world we love to decorate our home as spooky as possible. A more or less scary Jack O´Lantern sits right next to us, keeping track of us eating his innards… delicious pumpkin soup.

Last year we´ve had about 15 visits of little ghosts, witches and vampires looking for treats. An enormous number for Germany - unbelievable, but true. it makes me happy to see Halloween is getting bigger and bigger around here. So we´ll have tons of treats this year and we won´t mind to eat the leftovers, if there´ll be any.

I guess there won´t be much left. We´ll be here, the little wizard Luis will attend, as well as Jersey aka “The Hound of Baskerville” and some invited friends, plus the trick-or-treaters. Oh, let me count… okay, I´m sorry folks… off to prepare some more treats =)
