Today marks the “International Day of Coffee” - and most of you know I´m a confessed coffee-addict. My favorite blend is Caffè Verona. I love the this versatile, complex blend, combining great Latin American and Asia Pacific coffees with a touch of Italian Roast… and I love to play with it. My favorite Caffè Verona recipe is

Frozen Caramel Frappuccino
Ingredients

1/2 cup cold coffee
3 tablespoons sugar
1/2 cup milk
2 cups ice
3 tablespoons caramel sundae syrup
  whipped cream

Preparation

  • Combine all ingredients into electric blender.
  • Blend drink until ice is crushed and drink is smooth.
  • Serve in a glas and top with whipped cream and caramel syrup.
  • Add straw for ease in drinking.
  • Voilà! A caramel frappuccino from the coffee shop…made right at home! Enjoy ♥

    xoXOxo,

    Sanni

    Guess who´s one =)

On July 19th, 2006 we opened our virtual Café - Coffee2go was born… with lots of milk froth.

342 coffee breaks later we are amazed how this little coffee corner developed from the personal journal it was before.

We´re proud to announce visitor No 40.000 - a nice guy from Bagwine country. The one and only Matt-Man stopped by yesterday, leaving a friendly “Bada Bing” @ 18/7/07 5:29 PM (in our part of the world). Definitely “Bada Bing” =)

We have completed 1 year of blogging… and after reviewing this year we see a lot of ups and just a few downs. You darling bloggie people celebrated the happy times with us and helped us cheering up when we needed a hug. We laughed together, we cried together… and we´ve had a bunch of fun. That´s why the little coffee corner is still running: We love your replies, my friends…

Friends who we´ve never met, the beloved 2D-friends on the net…

What´s happening right now, after 1 year of blogging?

I´m sitting here, enjoying a Cappucino, having a dream:

I´d LOVE to meet you in 3D someday. So… how about a Blogosphere Meet & Greet (and *SMOOCH*) in summer 2008? =)

I thank you all for supporting me during the year!

Love ya all more than caffeine,

    Sanni

I confess: I am addicted to coffee… so my 1st Thursday Thirteen has to deal with my fave ;-) Hanging out in a nice café, relaxing, taking a lot at what is around… this is a nice sparetime job for me. So, please sit back, get yourself confy and let me invite you to a Latte Macchiato and tell you about 13 places I cannot resist to drink a coffee:

1.) First and foremost I like to visit every Starbuck´s worldwide because I really love one of their specialities… altough it´s a frozen one, I have to order it, no matter if it´s hot in the summer (here it makes sense) or freezing cold in the winter (my hands get frostbitten at regular intervalls): by Starbuck´s Caramel Frappuccino® Blended Coffeewith lots of whipped cream and caramel sirup.

2.) A good old friend of mine owns a café and a restaurant in Castrop, Germany. If you ever come to this little town, please visit “Richy´s Café and Cocktailbar” or the “Inselterassen”. Tell Richy that Sanni send you and enjoy a creamy Latte Macchiato with him. He´s a very nice and funny guy… serving great coffee anyway (altough his web page is down at present *geehee*)

3.) You will find a great Cappuccino @ Rosie´s in Düsseldorf, Germany. Stop by and relish it, going along with a great American breakfast, served whole day long. The waiters are doing a really good job in placid atmosphere… and maybe you´d like to use the WLAN-Hotspot to send a message home…

4.) Whenever you visit Zandvoort, Netherlands, the famous “koffie verkeerd” at Wander En Karin , formally known as Trefpunt Annette, placed at beach No. 8 is definitely a “must-taste” for everyone who likes coffee.

5.) Café Tambosi in Munich, Germany is a fine traditional Coffee-House, named Hofgartencafe as well. It was built 220 years ago and serves a wide variety of great-tasting coffee-specialities. Perhaps you catch a day where one of the famous events is taking place.

6.) If you are in Vienna, Austria I guess you are visiting Schloss Schönbrunn anyway. Take breather in the Castle´s Café and try one of those “Naumann verkehrt”: it is a small cup filled with whipped cream, doused with 2 shots of fine Espresso. That´s why it is named “verkehrt” (=inverted). B.t.w.: They serve minutely fresh baked apple strudel as well. Tastes like parish fair *slurp*

7.) The most expensive espresso I have ever had in my life was at Tour d´Argent, Paris, France. I dream about coming back someday… not for dinner, like last time… but maybe to enjoy another Espresso with vista to La Chapelle Notre Dame… Oh, how I love the Grand Old Lady.

8.) Stopping by in a nice sidewalk café anywhere in Paris is a great deal… savoring French Cappuccino and a croissant, maybe a sub… living th fat of the land ;-). I´m sure we´ll find a snuggy place to rest in there veeeeery close ;-)))

9.) Oscar´s American Brasserie is an pompous place to have a coffee… Or try the Osteria al Doge if you want to peg out in a romantic place. However… New York displays lots of great cafés. I guess I have to come back someday and discover a few more, even abandoning my beloved Starbuck´s. :-)

10.) You have to have to HAVE to visit Blue Haven in Key West, Florida. It is a terrific stop for breakfast, lunch or dinner and must see on every tourist itinerary. Come early, Sunday´s are impossible. Chicken, dogs and cats are commonplace, but usually wellbehaved. Not only the coffee, food is remarkable and satisfying as well.

11.) Our Capital City gets around with countless nice cafés. If you ever get to Berlin please hop in one of them both Café Einstein placed “Unter den Linden” or “Kürfürstenstrasse”. To me it is impossible to name the best coffee speciality because I like all they serve.

12.) Hopefully you come to visit North Rine-Westphalia in Germany someday. If you´re staying round Düsseldorf and are interested in drinking a nice coffee with the good old coffee-auntie Sanni, just leave a comment. Got some nice cafés round my place I´d like to show you ;-)

13.) The definitely best place to enjoy a coffee is my Mom´s sofa. Sorry for having to tell you this is a non-public place. ;-) [xoXOxo, Mommy!]

Feel free to leave a comment introducing other nice cafés to visit… Happy Thirteening!

    Catch ya,
