There´s no way to PEACE. PEACE is the way.

Imagine there’s no heaven
It’s easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today…Imagine there’s no countries
It isn’t hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace…

You may say I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you’ll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world…

You may say I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you’ll join us
And the world will live as one

["Imagine" - - John Lennon]

This world could deal with a lot more PEACE! Please engage in serious soul-searching and ask yourself:“What type of world do we wish to hand over to our children? Or to our grandchildren?”

We want it to be a peaceful one. Please help to spread the world
… and be the CHANGE!

The picture on our Peace Globe was taking on Luis 1st birthday a few weeks ago. I´ve always wished for worldwide peace, but since Luis is part of our little family I pray even more:

The girls challenged me to play -

The sheer beauty Maria over at BAAHHH!!! wants to know 8 random facts about me. I hope you can stand more facts about me *LOL*

1.)My sense of humor tends to be sarcastic in nature.
2.)I´m a nightowl - doing my best work at night while the world around sleeps.
3.)Derivation of #2.): Me and my body are satisfied with 4 hours of sleep.
4.)I got 3 of my piercings left - there were 7 more before.
5.)In August 2005 I returned to painting after a 10-year hiatus.
6.)Fireworks - oh, how I love to watch them… The last time I watched one was last Saturday. A Japanese firework celebrating the Japan Day in Duesseldorf, Germany. Oooooooh! Aaaaaaah! Woooooow! So so freaking beautiful!
7.)I´m a bookworm… and an idiot. While I was pregnant I got a kind of “sorting flash”: All our books are sorted by their spine colors. This makes it pretty hard to find the book we´re searching for. [Note to self: Adjust this!]
8.)Luis actually is proud owner of 8 milk teeth - that´s seven more than me. Honestly: I still got one milk tooth! I guess this is the most weird anatomic attribute of my body… this and the third arm growing out of my head.

The wonderful Annelisa was curious about how my Jackson Pollock pic may look like. HA! That was great one. I highly recommend: Blogosphere - do a JacksonPollock!!!

Annelisa came up with another great posting: How I Started Blogging

  • How/ why did you get sucked into the blogging whirlpool?
  • While I was pregnant I wanted to design a homepage for our little baby. I´ve had no idea about css and html - so I absorbed a few books about webdesign and created a homepage for Luis. Before, just in case I would have been too blonde to design a website from scratch, I signed up at Blogger. The babyblog is still in my account - but it was never used… but I liked the idea of writing down my thoughts: I created Coffee2go.

  • How long ago did you start?
  • Who introduced you?
  • It was google: I entered the keyword “blog” - and guess which blogging provider came up ;)

  • Who was your very first visitor, and do you both still visit each other?
  • Besides my inner circle in “real life”? That´s a bit difficult to answer. When I was forced kindly invited to switch to New Blogger all my former comments fell in the John. They were turned into “posted by anonymus”. Thanks again, Blogger. I can remember Bond visiting Coffee2go while we were having the first Blogblast For Peace. We still visit each other - I take seat on his comfy Big Leather Couch as often as I can.

  • How has your blog changed from your first posts, and did you envisage it developing the way it has?
  • Ha! That´s a piece of cake! I Coffee2go in GERMAN - just for myself. I found out about the Blogblast when I was playing with Blogger´s “Next Blog Button” - unbelievable, but true. I new immediately I have to participate - so I posted a Dona Nobis Pacem post… in English, of course. Since most of my current visitors speak English, Coffee2go is English, too.

I never ever thought Coffee2go could develop in this way. Me, I´m a lucky one. I´ve found lots of wonderful blogging pals from all over the world… plus I never imagined Coffee2go to become so popular - to express it “technical”: I´m among technorati´s top 2k bloggers.

Thanks a lot to all of you!

  • Have you any other blogs and, if so, what is their purpose?
  • My current blogs are:
    Coffee 2 go

Coffee 2 go - I´m an egomaniac - having a blog is not enough excuse to talk about myself *grin*

    Evil Blogger twin

The Evil Blogger Twin - Thanks to split personality I´ve got an evil blogging twin. She doesn´t mince any matters, says and does everything I don´t have the heart to. Oh, wait… I guess this is not really MY blog ;)

    The Furry Diva

The Furry Diva - We celebrated Jersey´s 5th birthday yesterday. She´s our chocolate labrador diva. Every diva needs her own platform. So the blog was my birthday present for her. She *whoof*s and I´m her typing secretary.

    Pimp Your Blog
Pimp Your Blog - I love to design blog templates and to make over existing blogs. I´ve opened the Pimp Your Blog Shop on 2007, June 1st - and there so so had to be a matching blog to the shop. =D

There is another secret blog, just for myself, where I am writing my German short-stories, publishing my comics and stuff like that… plus about 50something blogs to show off my blog layouts in action. Yes, I know… blogger must think I´m insane - I´ve created them all during 2 weeks. Yup, google knows it all *LOL*

If you´re interested you´ll find those layouts at the Pimp Your Blog Shop:

    Pimp Your Blog Shop

You know you want me to be your pimp! =D
Don´t miss the Grand Opening Sale!

Let´s make a deal: I won´t invite anyone to play today. Oh, I can hear your relief…, BUT:

1.) Feel free to grab one of those ideas and post yourself
2.) If you haven´t done it yet:
Hop over to Mimi, choose your Peace Globe and let it fly tomorrow! Joining The Blogblast For Peace is a sign of unity showing your hope for worldwide peace - and, like it happend to me, it will connect you with many other fellow bloggers in the world!
3.) Baguette, chocolate or Espresso anyone?

    Love&PEACE ♥

    And now…
… our moment of Homer J.:

Note to self: Stop. Doing. Anything.

    “Please give peace a chance!”

Special thanks to Mo, the brilliant force behind Manic Monday, for choosing “PEACE” to be this weeks theme and for the pretty cool MM Peace globe, which I “borrowed” from him - and to Mimi for creating the 3rd Blogblast for peace. Get your Peace Globe today!

    Back in 19something…
School was out 4ever… we were celebrating our very last day at school. The Abitur (diploma from German secondary school for university admission or matriculation) exams were about to start the next week. It´s a German tradtion to celebrate this very last day @ school with a blast. The graduated plan this special day for many many weeks. They make plans to disturb the lessons, so the other little students will get a day off to celebrate with the seniors.
We´ve been a class of rebels. The teachers were full of fear. They trembled with fear, racking their brains about what our plans could be. MUAHAHAHAAAA!

Well, what can I say… our last day at school was a huge surprise for everyone (especially the teachers) .
Our last day at school was a blast. A blast for peace - themed:

    “Please give peace a chance!”

Everyone was dressed in a self-created Flower Power dress. We´ve planted a tree in the school´s inner countryard - with an engraved plate showing our names and the motto. Our “disturbing noise” was all of us singing John Lennon´s “Give peace a chance”:

    “Two, one, two, three, four
    Ev’rybody’s talking about
    Bagism, Shagism, Dragism, Madism,
    Ragism, Tagism
    This-ism, That-ism, is-m, is-m, is-m
All we are saying is give piece a chance,
All we are saying is give piece a chance
    C’mon
    Ev’rybody’s talking about ministers,
    Sinister, Banisters
    And canisters, Bishops, Fishops,
Rabbis, and Pop eyes, Bye, bye, bye byes
All we are saying is give peace a chance,
All we are saying is give peace a chance
    Let me tell you now
    Revoluton, evolution, masturbation,
    Flagellation, regulation, integrations,
    Meditations, United Nations,
    Congratulations
    Ev’rybody’s talking about
John and Yoko, Timmy Leary, Rosemary,
    Tommy Smothers, Bobby Dylan,
    Tommy Copper,
    Derek Taylor, Norman Mailer,
    Allen Ginsberg, Hare Krishna,
    Hare
    Krishna”

You see, even the worst rebels were longing for peace… and they still are ;)
Today, I´m a lucky mommy to Luis, many of my former dreams came true - many others didn´t. But one of my dreams is still up-to-date and will always be:

    “Please give peace a chance!”

    xoXOxo,

    Sanni

    And now…
… our moment of Homer J.:

Homer: Weaseling out of things is important to learn. It’s what separates us from the animals … except the weasel.
