[ After several days of hard rain, the sun was willing to give a cameo appearance today. The weather forecast for tomorrow predicts thunderstroms and hurricanes, so today seemed to be our only chance taking the triple terror (Luis, Lily and Jersey) out for spending some weekend quality family time in the woods.
We made a quick visit to the fleamarket before we headed to the Grafenberger Wald.
The five of us had a bunch of fun exploring the dampish woods... so many different scents and textures to explore.
Both kids were mostly attracked by mini mushies and moss
while Jersey prefered processing clammy knobs to tooth picks.

Once again I have to praise my slowcooker. It was nice to be greeted by the delicious smell of Beouf Stroganoff after we returned home in the evening. We arrived 15 minutes before our guests C+R - and all I had to do was set the table and open the wine before starting a lovely evening with friends.
Life is good. ]
