“Retired”

Today marks the day my Mutterpass (*) officially goes into retirement. I’ve had my final medical examination at the gynecologist. This examination takes place 6-8 weeks after the pregancy.
The outcome wasn’t well… and might end in a personal catastrophy, but that’s another story.

However, the Mutterpass is conceived to contain 2 pregnancies. It contains Luis’ an Lily’s datas which makes… so many treasured memories.

(*) The “Mutterpass” is a document issued to pregnant women by the gyn. It contains medical information relating to the pregnancy lists blood reports, past history, presentation and postion of baby, fetal heart details, blood pressure, urine data, edemas, weight, etc. -  It’s similar to the materinty card.

“Giving Birth To A Child Shall Be The Hour Of Greatest Dignity For A Woman”

That’s a wall painting inside our midwives’ practice. I’m happy I’ll have Jessica and Sabine around after I’ll get home from hospital. Both are special ladies and they’ve done such a great job on Luis’ aftercare - it’s self-evident we want them for Hamster 2.0’s aftercare, too.

“For daddy’s to be”

This neat parking space sign is placed in front of the hospital Hamster 2.0 will be born in - the cutest “emergency” parking space I’ve ever seen (Ed. Note: The number “112″ is the German equivalent  to the U.S. “911″).

Oh, by the way - please calm down now… we’ve been visiting the hospital as a matter of pre-birth routine… Hamster 2.0 will stay put for a few more days.

Time does fly. I can´t believe it´s been 2 weeks since I met the gyn last time.
Today I spent 45 minutes at the cardiotocograph. Listening to Hamster 2.0´s heartbeat is very relaxing… I could listen for hours and hours.

The next appointment will be on June, 13th… but, while having a look at the CTG, the doc told me he doesn´t think we´ll be keeping this appointment… UH-OH!!!

WOO-HOO!!!
Miss Hamster 2.0 (44cm - 1.44 feet / 2.510g - 5.52 lb) decided to show her cute little face during the 3D ultrasound session (week 35+0).

Can´t wait to hold her…

Yes, you´re right, DS… We did it again - and here it is:

“The Ultimate Hamster 2.0 Pregnancy Belly Plaster Cast”
(unprocessed, made today in pregnancy week 33+4)

Frank and I have had lots of fun making this plaster cast…

You might remember the mess I made when taking the pregnancy belly plaster cast while Luis was inside (just two words: pipe + clogging).
It took Frank about 2.5 hours to elevate the mess I had caused in the bathroom back in 2006 - now I´m pretty sure that´s why I wasn´t allowed to splash around on my own Frank loved to help me this time.

77,1 kg = 169.62lb = I have gained 22,5 kg (50.16 lb) since Hamster 2.0 moved in.

Trying my very best to shrug it off… so…

Where´s my ice-cream???

The photo shows Hamster 2.0 (39.9 cm / 1.300 g -1.31 feet, 2.86 lb) in week 28+6 during the 3rd pregnancy screening. A very turbulent ultrasound - capturing her cute face was impossible… but we can proudly present her tiny right foot, parts of her right leg and her right hand grabbing the foot!

Hmmm… strawberries! Strawberries are one of my favorite fruits, rank 3, right behind grapes and pineapple - as long as I´m not pregnant. The very last thing my mom ate before her water broke. I guess there´s a connection… I could eat strawberries the whole day long when I´m pregnant. *grin*

Now I´m off to enjoy those… *yum*

Okay… that stinks…

That´s my actual weight in kilos (67,0kg = 147.4lb) - normally it´s not to bad for a gal who´s pregnant in week 24+5…

Some people may think I´m nuts - and I don´t want to upset anybody…
For those who don´t know it yet: Yes, I got “a divisive issue” when it comes to food/weight. It might be a kind of eating disorder.

My scale showed 54,3kg (119.46lb) before little Hamster 2.0 moved in. I have gained 12,7kg (27.94lb) so far.*sigh*

Looks like I´m in need of a piece of “frustration chocolate”
