Dusseldorf has celebrated Jan Wellem’s 350th birthday. Part of the celebrations has been a huge baroque market. I couldn’t decide which photo to post, so I went for “random choice”. You’re having a look at photo no. 32/99.
If you are interested in my favorite photo *click here* *wink*

There’s been a medieval farmer’s market in the city today. One of the farmer’s was selling delicious smelling (and looking) smoked ham. I would have loved to try a piece of this, but… I was afraid I couldn’t stop until I gorged the whole ham *g*.
I tried to buy a Grimbergen Triple instead (a beer from Belgium), but another “but” occured. The folks working on the stand didn’t recognize me for about 15 minutes or so. I guess I have to buy some more colorful clothes (cool shopping excuse, eh?).
However - we bought a very yummy grilled “Krakauer” (a special sausage which came in a roll) instead.
Our local theatre´s roof - a twister had destroyed it ages ago, now it´s fixed again. I took the photo today while we´ve been out for a short walk.
Short walk? Yes - it´s “Rosenmontag” (Shrove Monday) in my part of the world… Carnival time. I. Hate. German. Carnival.
I´m glad it´s impossible to take a picture of THAT kind of music…
