The pretty pink sky greeted Jersey and me today in the early afternoon while we went out for a walk - a quite nice ending for this terrible day. We had to take both kids to the ER earlier today… how comes one always gets sick on Saturdays?

The Sunday before Advent marks “Totensonntag” in the protestant parts of Germany.
We commemorate the beloved persons who died.

Jersey declined feeding the swans (”Feed the FOOD? Are you silly or something???”) while we were out for a short walk. I thought maybe you could help out feeding them while we’re back home redoing the 2nd floor…
or you could come over and help us a bit.

Our very good friend F. arrived today. He’ll stay at our appartment in Neuss for a few days b/c he has accepted an order nearby. Unfortunately we’ll be off to Varna during his stay so tonight will be the only time we’ll see each other - and due to the reason our frigde is already prepared for our vacation (=empty *g*) we invited him for dinner to the “Mississippi”…

Marina Market

The Marina Market takes place each 2nd Sunday / month during the summer in our direct neighborhood, the local Marina. Several marketeers sell their goods - beginning with fish, typical farmer’s products and lots of handcrafted stuff. Luis, Jens and I visited the market today. We liked this colorful market stand best… and that’s why I’m sharing it with you.
