[ And off she is... unlike her brother Luis, Lily still tends to stay in intervisibility with me or Frank while exploring the park, the woods, you name it. Lily will dash off, turn around after a few meters, wave furiously at us and come back. Sometimes she keeps running while turning around. Whoops. ]

[ Lily Ladybug and Tigger Luis kindly allowed the mama-razzi taking a quick snapshot before leaving for the Carnival Monday parade.
The chance to catch just some of the 50+ tons of candy tossed from the 70 parade wagons was just too tantalizing to stay on . *g*
The double trouble has been very successful in catching candy. We carried home 1.200 g of candy, chocolate, you name it.
I guess it was a good decision to take them to the parade. Both of them kept begging us to go there for days. Although they are not well again, we dressed them warmly, layered like little onions.
Luis wore loads of clothes under his costume plus an additional coat.
Lily was dressed warmly above her costume, seated in her Bugaboo Bee, covered in a blankie.
We stayed for about one and half hours instead of the four up to five hours the parade goes on, but the kiddos were happy anyway - since they didn't like the parade-thingy as much as the thrown candy. ]

[ Just one day after the rush to the ER our brave Lily smiles all the time...
Last night has been so-so and we hope she's out of the woods now.
***update: Sadly Lily is not well again. No flare up this time, but she bought the Noro virus home from the hospital. Little virus is now making the rounds through the family. *** ]

[ Miss Lily pouts. I wonder if her facial expression is genetical or if she just copied "the look" from me.
My Papili told me I am the pouting master of the family since I was her age. *g*
Must be the French part of our heritage. But since I have a master degree in pouting I can cope with this cute face. Bad mommy was not softened by this look. I put paid to her little explorer drive. The fish filleting knife was not handed down to Lily. Well, okay... I must admit I gave her my favorite necklace to play with instead. And my watch. Oooops. ]

[A few days ago we were invited to attend the annual photo-shooting at the kindergarten. The photographer took pics of the kindergarten-kiddos in the morning... appointment for sibblings was at 2pm.
Obviously the kids didn't like the "professional" photographer at all - this is hardly surprising. Have you ever tried making anyone smile a bright smile for a photo by YELLING at said person...? Me, neither. ]
