Just a few hours away from now, Miss Lily will magically turn from baby to toddler…

We spent the night with family and friends at one of my favorite restaurants: The “Mongo’s”, celebrating my 35th birthday.

I love and miss you more than words can say!

The photo of my granny Anni and me was taken 30 years ago on her 70th birthday. As far as I’m aware of, this is the last picture ever taken of her. She sadly died shortly after this special day. I got “our” photo framed many years ago. When I passed the photography today I cried, because of all the childhood memories I have about her - I miss her so much. After a while, I smiled… once again because of all those memories I have about her. I’m so thankful about the great grandma I have and that she’s still - and will ever be - a part of my life… no matter where she is.
In addition, I can’t explain, but I somehow got the feeling she wanted me to smile.

I’m pretty sure, granny Anni smiles, too - while she has a blast in heaven, eating cheesecake and dancing with grandpa Wilhelm…
