Today marked the day of Luis’ second appointment after the accident at the kindergarten. I’m happy to report the tooth fairy does not have to stop by earlier than she planned. Gums and teeth have recovered. *phew*

We also made and appointment for Lily. It was her first. She watched Luis’ behavior very intrigued and decided to open her mouth and react just like he did. Both kids did such a great job they were rewarded with presents from the treasure chest big time.

Next appointment will be in 6 months. One thing down.

[ We watched the 3D-version of "Alice in Wonderland" yesterday. Today's photo is part of a scrapbooking page for a memory book I'm working on. ]

I always loved Tim Burton’s unique visions of the world since I watched “Beetlejuice” and “Edward Scissorhands” ages ago, followed by one of my alltime favorites: “Nightmare Before Christmas”.
So I went to cinema with high expectations which were definitely excelled.
“Alice in Wonderland” passed without me blinking.
By the end I was all like “Have I been sitting here for like five minutes…?”
I could have been sitting there for hours and hours watching the amusing acting ( ♥ Mad Hatter), the terrific special effects and all those little details of this strange world. Helena Bonham Carter outdid herself. I loved hating this evil Red Queen.
Now please excuse me while I’m going to order the OST of the film.

Why don’t you go watch the movie now? I highly recommend the IMAX 3D version. No?
Off with your head!!!

[ This Conelly Cocktail Set was a Christmas gift from my BFF Jens. The set comes with 3 cocktails (Ladykiller, Sex on the Beach, Mai Tai) and a shaker. The ingredients are already measured in 2 cans, one filled with alcohol and one with juice mixture. All you have to do is fill ice cubes into the shaker, add the contents of both tins, close the shaker and shake it, baby...

I didn't have a Conelly Cocktail experience so far, but I guess tonight will be a good moment to give the "Sex on the Beach" a try - hoping this will erase all my thoughts and worries about the upcoming heart surgery of my mom Miss Elli. ]

[ Today I wanted to post about our vacation plans for April. We plan a trip to Zeeland (Netherlands). The post title should have been "Daydreaming".
Minutes after I took the pic I was informed my mom Miss Elli was taken to hospital after she broke down at work.
The doctors' "first guess" is posterior wall infarction. ]

Please keep my mom in your thoughts and prayers…

[ Captain Luis had an appointment at the dentist this morning.
While we picked him up from the kindergarten yesterday evening, our little guy reported he fell from a table while playing tag with another little boy.
He moaned about head- and toothache, but was proud he didn't get caught in the game (!!!).
Of course I was so worried that I called the dentist immediately. We were told to apply pain meds if necessary and stop by early in the morning. The doctor checked Luis' teeth - TG we did not have to call the tooth fairy... looks like everything is okay. *phew*

After the appointment we took Lily and Luis out for a walk at the Rhine shore. Since it was too windy to picnic outside, we had a cozy indoor picnic in the Mini. Maybe we'll have a chance to savor a "real" picnic after the upcoming dental check-up on March, 15th... ]
