[ And off she is... unlike her brother Luis, Lily still tends to stay in intervisibility with me or Frank while exploring the park, the woods, you name it. Lily will dash off, turn around after a few meters, wave furiously at us and come back. Sometimes she keeps running while turning around. Whoops. ]

[ IKEA has released the new garden furniture / outdoor collection.
Yeah, I know... doesn't make much sense to buy new stuff before our move, but "sense" is a foreign concept to pmsy persons like me, myself and I.

Of course I also had to indulge myself with köttbullar and fries. I was generous enough not to bite anyone, but to share said köttbullar, fries and additional hot dogs with the family. Cute, eh? ]

[ The picture was taken just several minutes before low-pressure system Xynthia hit us with hurricane-force winds of over 220 km/h (137 mph). Xynthia brought the strongest wind that had been recorded since the beginning of scientific weather observation at the end of the 19th century to Europe. TG our family is fine. Our hearts go out to the families who have lost loved ones to the hurricane. ]

[ After several days of hard rain, the sun was willing to give a cameo appearance today. The weather forecast for tomorrow predicts thunderstroms and hurricanes, so today seemed to be our only chance taking the triple terror (Luis, Lily and Jersey) out for spending some weekend quality family time in the woods.
We made a quick visit to the fleamarket before we headed to the Grafenberger Wald.
The five of us had a bunch of fun exploring the dampish woods... so many different scents and textures to explore.
Both kids were mostly attracked by mini mushies and moss
while Jersey prefered processing clammy knobs to tooth picks.

Once again I have to praise my slowcooker. It was nice to be greeted by the delicious smell of Beouf Stroganoff after we returned home in the evening. We arrived 15 minutes before our guests C+R - and all I had to do was set the table and open the wine before starting a lovely evening with friends.
Life is good. ]

[ Oh my word...
Looks like Captain Luis adopted a new gesture and an additional phrase from one of the kids at the kindergarten.
We knew this day was about to come sooner or later,
but nevertheless we were a little shocked on the one hand, but also a bit amused on the other hand.

Today was obviously themed "revolt against anyone and anything". Shortly after Luis returned home from the kindergarten, my 3-year-old baby boy and I had the following, fairly flabbergasting conversation:

Me: "Luis, please clean up your room."
Luis: "No, I don't want to. It's MY room."
Me: "Your room is part of MY house and I'd like you to cl..."
Luis: "Well, it's YOUR house... why don't YOU clean it then...?"

I did have a hard time not to burst with laughter. His acuteness (and cuteness) is just one thing why I love my Luis so much. Considering he's 3 years old I see a lot of jaw-dropping fun coming my way. ]

[ Several hours of my day were spent in the master bathroom. I cleared out all commodes.
Two huge trash bags of useless stuff are gone, including make-up, sun blocker, parfum, etc pp. Mommy's crayon box - as Luis names my make-up-bags - is neat and organized again.
Same procedure will happen to all other rooms during the week.
Hope this will help keeping the upcoming move less laborious and stressful.
Packing all our stuff is definitely something I'm NOT looking forward to...  ]

[ Miss Sanni proudly presents the latest steal from ebay: a new cooling pad for her macbook pro.
The notebook cooler comes with a so called "monster cooling fan" (loved the expression) sized 10" and 5 über-kitchy switchable blue LEDs. I hope my beloved macbook will love this treat and bear a longer charmed life when pampered by this monster fan.

Speaking of "charmed life"... my day has been all else but charming. I'd love to rewind to about 6 am this morning - but first I'll treat myself with a glass of Gavi.
*deep sigh*
Okay, enough whining. I'm off to my wine, looking forward to having a better day tomorrow. ]
