“Mooooommy, come and take the 8-random-facts dictate!” - That´s what I was told immediately after breakfast, spoken in perfect toddler-babble.

The background: Luis has been tagged by Soma and his secretary Swordmama to complete his very first MEME. Today the busy toddler found time and dictated me 8 random facts about himself:

[all pictures in this posting were taken in January 2008]

“Hi, darling bloggie people! My name is Luis-Franklin and these are 8 random facts about me:

1.) I´m a bookworm. I love any kind of books but I prefer picture-books, especially those so called “touch-and-feel”-books.

Textbooks, or anything looking like a book is okay for me, too. Magazines, newspapers, the telephone-book, user manuals… I love to “read” everything.

Some books I read only once, but several others are worthy to be re-read. When I´m tired about a book it will definitely meet its fate: I´ll eat it!

2.) Referring to food I am definitely not hard to please. I give everything a try before I decide to want more or not. Those things I already know and like can be served on my plate. I´ll eat them with my little fork or spoon.

If there´s anything new I prefer to be feeded with chop-sticks. Yeah, right. Chinese chop sticks.

3.) I ♥ phones, any kind of phones. Calling people is great fun, whether it´s my granny Miss Elli or a stranger, I love to dial numbers. St Nicholas brought me a Sesame Street mobile and Santa Claus gave me a Winnie Pooh mobile and a cordless phone with answering machine. I love my own phones, but I also love to call people with my parents´ phones… especially Japanese people sound funny. My mommy seems to be a bit nervous about the upcoming telephone bill.

4.) The best things in life are free… or forbidden, like stealing pinching chocolate or cookies.

I don´t care too much about those rules, especially when I feel unobserved I launch into the huuuuge bowl filled with sweets.

My parents try to kid me by placing apples and other fruits on the plate… but I only grab cookies or chocolate. It´s all about the shiny wrapping, you know.
Kinderschokolade is my favorite.

5.) The playground is my favorite place to be outside.

I love to go on the swings. up and down, uuuuuup and doooooown, til my little face turns green.

There´s also a water-playgroud located near our home. This one is great (and pulpy) fun, too.

6.) It´s fun to play with toys, but I´ve always favored addult stuff over my toys. Great things to play with are e.g.
- tissue boxes
- wire wisks
- remote controls
- DVDs
- bread baskets
- digital cameras
- notebooks.

Yes, I prefer technical stuff. Did I mention phones already???

7.) Back in those “baby”-days I didn´t like blankets. I hated to be tucked in.
This habit has changed some weeks ago. Blankets are great.

I love to be tucked in when my parents put me to bed. When we´re cuddling on the couch I tuck us all in.

Blankets are also a great utility when playing hide-and-seek.

My favorite blanket is this hand-knitted colorful one.

8.) Jersey, the furry diva is my beloved woofie. She´s the reason why I began to eat / drink while mommy and I were in hospital after I was born. I refused food until my mommy told me we will be allowed to go home and meet my woofie when I drink.
Thereafter I drank like a world-champion. 2 days later we went home.
Today Jersey is the one to be feeded… by me. ;)

Homer: All normal people love meat. If I went to a barbeque and there was no meat, I would say ‘Yo Goober! Where’s the meat!?’. I’m trying to impress people here Lisa. You don’t win friends with salad.

Saturday Photo Scavenger Hunt

OLD-FASHIONED

While I was working on the Cardiology Congress in New Orleans I found this old-fashioned mask on one of the downtown trips to Bourbon Street. It´s made of paper-mâché, crafted in Venice, Italy. The shop sold these masks for Mardi Gras and I couldn´t resist to take this one home.

Other old-fashioned photos | Been caught hunting

Happy Hunting ya all ♥

TheTeach has tagged me for this meme a while ago. I greatly appreciate this tag for many reasons:
First and foremost because I was tagged by TheTeach and the MEME helped me answering a question that bothered me for a long time. I remembered I´ve played a similar game many moons ago. Dislaimer: Before you ask yourself:“Where the heck did Sanni get a childhood photo of Matt-Man???” - That poor boy on the left isn´t Matty (as far as I know) - I´m sure Matty would never f… *uhm* hasn´t been so f… *uhm* Well, as far as I know it´s not Matty, just a little eyecatcher for the Dating Game results *wink*

Special thanks to all those who visited my Manic Monday entry, read the post, took time to leave a comment and those who gave the little game a try and placed their wild bets in the comments.

Yes, I´ve had a few dates at the cinema, but I never watched a movie including the word “date” in the title on a date. I confess I myself have seen only 3/9 of the mentioned “date”-movies so far…

Blind Date, 50 First Dates and Hitch - the Datedoctor.

Now, with no further ado, the results:

The first place: The excellent and witty writer Ian has not only been the first person who really read the post - he has also been the first one who gave that dating movie game a try AND he matched all the movie pics and titles correctly! WOO-HOO!

The second place: Vinny over at The Couch is a living jukebox AND a movie dictionary. Vinny matched 6 out of 9 pics and titles!

The third place: The one and only CrAzY Working Mom made it to 4/9 matches!

Honorable Mentions: That´s the consolation prize for the others, like the super-dancer Trav, who found 2 matches (mentioning 2 movies - not too bad, huh?)!

Thanks again for playing, peeps!

And now…

… our moment of Homer J.:

Homer: [drunk] Look, the thing about my family is there’s five of us. Marge, Bart, Girl Bart, the one who doesn’t talk, and the fat guy. How I loathe him.
