A Month-By-Month Review of my 2006…

January: I celebrated New Years Eve knowing 2006 will be dominated by a wind of change - the ultrasound pictures showed I was pregnant with a little bundle of joy =)

February: We visited my PILs who moved to the beautiful island Mallorca, Spain. To me it was a beautiful journey - although my “little ball” turned out to raise bigger and bigger. Sometimes I thought I´d burst in a second!

March: The docs diagnosted I was suffering from an extreme EPH-Gestosis. My waterworks don´t do a good job in normal life - and during pregnancy I had to drop my medication anyway. So I gainted about a ton of water - and had to spent the last months of pregnancy in bed. *sigh* But the “nest-building-sprout” won and I refurbished our baby´s room… slooooowly =)

April: *Whooom* There he is! I gave birth to our little one! I will never ever forget this incisive experience -
incisive in two ways: We had “tinkered” a little human being AND I gave birth to him in a (necessary) C-section =)

May: We came home from hospital and Luis threw me into motherhood =) - Life hasn’t been the same since: it’s been lots brighter!

June: We celebrated my 32nd birthday (*ewwww*) - and I had to stop breastfeeding in order to get a medication again. I felt a bit jealous because Luis accepted his “new bottles” in a split second. For a few days I turned out to be a keen competition to all the baywatch-girls… LOL! Too bad it´s over - I miss those two lovely weapons of mass seduction =)

July: I started Coffee2go. My blog has opened doors to wonderful new friendships - and it gives me a bit of “Mommy time” - time to spent on my own with you… I enjoy it a lot =)
We also spent a weekend in the Allgaeu at my PILs “summer residence”. Luis first short trip…

August: Happy 40th Birthday, my love! We celebrated Frank´s 40th sun-orbit with a rocking party - and I felt like wirting my Happy Hangover - posting the day after… =). The party was the reason for Luis first PJ-Party at my parents home…

September: YAY! We spent our summer holidays at one of the most beautiful spots on earth I have ever visited in my life: Corfu, Greece! A first-class-recreation to all of us…

October: My weight went back to normal step-by-step. I gained 61kg (134 pounds!!!) as a result of the Gestosis during pregnancy - in fact I more than doubled my weight. I lost 49kg (107.8 pounds) since April, 26th 2006. 12 kg (26.4 pounds) to get rid of are left!

And we spent a beautiful weekend at our friends´house in Mol, Belgium right before celebrating Luis 1st Halloween =)

November: Our hunt to get some “Babies 1st Christmas”-stuff finally ended in Paris, France where we spent a wonderful weekend and conquered the Disney Store =)

One of my personal highlights in November has been the DONA NOBIS PACEM Blogblast for PEACE Queen Mimi started on November 7th. I found lots of new blogging friends that day! Special thanks (in no particular order) to:

December: We´ve had a wonderful month and celebrated Luis 1st Christmas with a kind of big bang. The only thing which I missed so badly is: SNOW - no white Christmas for us =)
Yes, I know - (sometimes) I seem to be a spoiled brat! LOL

All in all it 2006 has been a year full of love and joy to me and mine - I hope yours as well!
Happy New Year, everyone! May your 2007 be filled with happiness and blessings galore.

Big hugs and little kisses,

And now…
… our last moment of Homer J. in 2006:

Homer: Homer: Aw, twenty dollars! I wanted a peanut!
Homer’s Brain: Twenty dollars can buy many peanuts!
Homer: Explain how!
Homer’s Brain: Money can be exchanged for goods and services!
Homer: Woo-hoo!

Dec 31

Sometimes it all comes back to you… When I was a little child my Mommy used to wake me up in the early morning of December 31st telling me:

“Sanni, guess what happened! I saw a man today. He had as many noses in his face as the year has days left!” -
“???”
“Just ONE huge ordinary nose!” LOL

Just guess what I told her this morning when I called her =)))

catch ya,

And now…
… our moment of Homer J.:

Homer: From now on, there are three ways to do things: the right way, the wrong way, and the Max Power way.
Bart: Isn’t that just the wrong way?
Homer: Yeah, but faster!

And now…
… our moment of Homer J.:

Scully: Homer, we’re going to ask you a few simple yes or no questions. Do you understand?
Homer: Yes. (lie dectector blows up)
